This whole Coronavirus thing is insane, but we as a country are doing the best we can to ride it out! As many schools are temporarily cancelling or even ending the year NOW, parents are being thrown into the new and terrifying world of homeschooling.
Now, if you’ve been here before, you guys know that I’m a homeschool mom, myself! This is my fourth full year of educating my kids from home, and I LOVE it! However, this way of life was not easy on me in the beginning. I am disorganized, messy, and scatter-brained. How can a person like this homeschool?
Well, simply put – by the grace of God. Seriously!
I am just the right teacher for my kids, not because of my weaknesses, because despite my weaknesses, I love my kids more than any teacher ever could, I’m fully invested in their education, and I can decide what is important for them to learn!
But there are still challenges, like having enough patience, having a routine, and finding the best resources. I’ve had four years to get there, but you’re there NOW!
I’m here to give you a helping hand at making this work for the next couple months! Below is a FREE download of homeschooling activities that you can do today with your kids. Homeschooling doesn’t have to look like traditional school – it can be fun AND educational. Oh, and just because I love you, I added a link to get some essential oils! #cuzyouknowigotta
One way I have found to make a “schedule” work FOR you, is to create a bunch of 30-minute, independent activities that kids can do without too much parental involvement. This printable will give you a solid five hours (minimum) if you do all the main activities! There’s TONS of ideas here, so have fun with it!
And since today is St. Patrick’s Day…. good luck!
